Breaking News: Greens are Canada's new third party!

Today is a historic first for the Green Party of Canada.
Today, for the first time in our 24-year history, we are polling as one of Canada's top three parties in a national survey of voter intentions.
The Green Party is nationally in third place. We can win seats. You can help us do it.
The latest Strategic Counsel survey for the Globe and Mail/CTV News shows that the Green Party with 13% has overtaken both the NDP (12%) and the Bloc Quebecois (11%) for the first time ever. Also, Green support in the west now stands at a strong 18%, ahead of the fourth-place NDP (16%).
We must ask for Canadians' help to ensure that Elizabeth May is in the nationally televised leaders' debates. If Elizabeth is in the debates, there is no doubt in my mind that we will elect Green MPs.
[The Green Party has never won any seats in Canada (federally or provincially), nor has the Green Party been included in any televised debates... yet]

Au Québec, 79,6 % de la population (5,7 millions d’habitants) a le français comme langue maternelle. C’est la première fois depuis 1931 que ce pourcentage est inférieur à 80.
Au Canada, un habitant sur cinq est né à l’étranger, ce qui fait du pays l’un des plus multiculturels du monde, devant les États-Unis et juste derrière l’Australie.

La belle surprise que j'ai eu hier en regardant la valeur du Dollar Canadien. 108.44 Yen. Du jamais vu. Si j'achetais un Apple Macbook Noir avec 2GB de Ram aujourd'hui au Japon avec la carte de crédit canadienne, J'économiserais 277$ comparativement avec si je faisait le même achat a québec. 150$ d’économie du a la différence de taxe et le reste due a la valeur du dollar. Aujourd’hui pour le fun je regarde la valeur avec le dollar US. près de 91cents US. WOW WOW WOW....

J'ai beaucoup d'amis Canadiens qui me font souvent la remarque à propos de cette habitude que nous avons, les Québécois, de faire des jurons contre l'église. Alors que les Anglais se contente bien de "fuck" et "damn".
Peut-etre que cette histoire(anglais) réponderais à la question. Pour résumé la partie importante. Apparemment etre Athéiste au État-Unis avant 9/11 était plutot risque pour sa carière. La raison du changement au moment de 9/11 m'est inconnue et est en faites d'aucun intéret pour cette histoire.
Le faites est, meme si les Québécois reçoivent énormément d'influence des État-Unis. Les Canadiens anglophones sont définitivement beaucoup plus envahis. Alors voici ma reflexion. Si 5 ans plutot ils etaient toujours tabou de parler control l'existence de Jesus, je vois mal comment ils auraient pu creer de charmant Sacre comme les notres.
Ceci dit: Si je me rappelle bien mes cours d'Histoire, il serait quand meme important de noter que leurs Vulgaires Jurons proviennent aussi directement de l'Église. Lors de leur revolution contre le catholisme et la creation du Protestanisme ([en][fr]). Si je me rappelle bien.
Je suis pas trop sur si ma déduction est correct. Ou si des millions de gens on fait la meme des années au paravant. Mais je tenais quand meme a souligner le point. J'ai cru que ça pourrait etre intérresant pour mes amis Canadiens qui s'interroge sur notre drole de culture Bucheronne.

Apparemment il y aurait des efforts de la part du Gouvernement du Quebec en regards avec l'OpenSource. C'est dure de dire a qu'elle point ils sont serieux et jusqu'ou il se renderont. Mais deja, cest un debut. Et tres apprecier, du moins en ce qui me concerne. Idealement, nous verrons de plus en plus de projet de ce genre et plus d'aide sera apporter au monde du logiciel libre. Lequel a son tour aidera le monde entier, encore plus que deja.

Hail to Mr Harper. Well, they finally got in, eh ? Not a big surprise since almost nobody wanted the liberal to stay in place. I find it so sad that people are only voting against the Liberal and going simply for the second biggest without really much more thinking.
Its quite interresting to see how close the Conservative and the Liberals are. It took lots of efforts from the Conservative to win (16 more seats in Ontario and 10 new one in Quebec) and still the Liberal are showing the close presence. It definitely shows how easy it is for the liberal the win in normal terms. Every province are splitting the vote.
I wish it would be possible to have a minority governement to last. Where all the parties are working together toward fixing all issues. Is it possible ? I don't know but it feels like it's how it should be in the future. no more parties, no more elections, just bunch of concerned people and experts working toward a common goal. what do you guys think ?
Anyway, I think the next year or so will be interresting. I just hope we won't get $300 millions worth elections every two years. because I don't think its the way canadians wants their money to be spent. Even though I'm sure politians have hell of a time travelling accross canada for two full months.

La campagne électoral tire a sa fin, le vote est lundi. Les dernières semaines ont été très émouvantes. Malheureusement, j'ai peur que les gens ne voterons pas en se basant vraiment sur leur valeur personnel.

Voici un example de ce que je pense. C'est exactement ce qui ne va pas avec les elections canadienne. Les gens suivent la vague, alors qu'il faudrait plutôt l'ignorer.
